I have recently composed a 16 bar melody piece with chords. When I started, I wanted to have a feeling of relaxation. That is why I have a lot of half notes, and quarter notes. Personally, I rather listening to slower more “chill” songs when I am working or doing anything related to work. That is why I wanted to use this. I also think that when you are playing on a higher note, it is not as calming as a lower note. By using lower notes, the notes can then contrast together better. This means that it is more pleasing to hear which also makes it more relaxing. I used several scales in this just to free flowing and to make it sound better. I kept it on C Major because I think that it is simple but is still really good.
I think that I participate a lot, I am very on task and that I am motivated. I also think that I am very resilient.
I modified my original packet because I thought it would not be big enough. Show and behold, my new one is a lot bigger, ergonomic, and it has a lot more space. I have also added a handle to make it more visually appealing and to make it easier to hold. I added different parts to the new design to make it more symmetrical.
We drew out a plan on the piece of paper for wrapping our apple. This plan had the different measurements that would cover the apple but would be visually appealing at the same time. We also used minimal materials in making our packaging to reduce the amount of waste because “Waste not, want not!”. This met all of the design criteria except for being durable and ergonomic. It would be very hard to make it ergonomic and to make it not creased and visually appealing. It was the right size, the contents were obvious, it was attractive, light, easy to open, and secure.
In design Cycle, we wrote a chapter in an iBook explaining our pneumonia and everything you need to know about pneumonia. If you are in grade 5-6, please download my iBook and comment down below about the sections I wrote about whether you liked it or not. How I should improve it and what you like or don’t like about it. My sections were the: Treatments, gallery, and the quiz

My favourite science book that I read when I was younger was How Things Work.
This book had many things that adult books did not have such as lots of fun diagrams with lots of colours.
I found a lot of the diagrams very interesting because they used a lot of animals to power up lots of their inventions. Most of their machines were powered my mammoths.
The author was able to take complex ideas and turn them into simple understandable ones by using lots of visual graphics and used pretty simple explanations. They used a lot of diagrams and labelled most of the things in the diagrams so you knew what everything meant.
If there are any grade 5-6 kids reading this, please read the questions below and answer them in the comments section:
- When you were younger, what series of Science books did you enjoy most and why?
- What features do these books have compared to adult focused books? Give examples. In what way do they aid understanding?
- What are some features that make the book interesting to you?
- Was the author able to use text to take a complex ideas and explain in a simplified way? If so, what techniques did the author use? If not, how would you improve it?
In humanities class, we watched a documentary called “Guns, Germs and Steel”. It explained how different geographic locations meant that different civilisations grew quicker then others. This is important because it shows the roots of civilisation today and different causes to advancement in technology. The europeans were very lucky because they had lots of very healthy crops with lots of protein and nutrients. This meant they could spend less time farming and more time inventing and discovering new things. That meant that they had the technology quicker then the Inca’s for example, that is why they travelled to the americas and invaded the Inca’s as oppose to the Inca’s coming to Europe and invading the Conquistadors. Also, when they invade new countries, they bring along diseases with them that they are already immune to meaning that their enemies would be even easier to defeat. When they went to different continents though. Also, if some countries have a better geographic location, it means they have more expensive materials and that they can trade with other countries to get a better economy. That is why geographic location is very important in a countries growth.
1. How successful do you think you have been this year at drama?
I think that I did pretty well. I think that I was most successful in my acting, I also did quite a lot of reflections. I think that I worked well with my group mates.
2. Use a metaphor for describing your own process. Where were you at the start and where you are.
I am a spiderweb. I was once a thin thread, but now I have grown to a big net. ©
3. What is your biggest strength about you as a drama student.
I think my best strength is that I can work with anyone I am assigned with. I can also control my voice quite well.
4. What is the biggest thing you want to work on for next year?
I want to work more on my DW, this is because it does not have many reflections and detail inside.
I think that I did well in the science debate, I proved my point of KMT incorrect and I also demonstrated my knowledge of KMT. I was not here on the last day of the trial therefore I do not know what happened on that day. I think that the prosecution side clearly won the debate.
