World Education Games

“Mom, I need the computer please so I can play World Maths Day!” Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Sachin and I am the World Education Games Ambassador for Hong Kong. I study at the Canadian International School of Hong Kong and I am 11 years old. I have many interests and hobbies but my favorite hobby is to play World Maths Day.

World Maths Day fascinates me and helps me in many ways. Firstly, I practice my arithmetic skills. Secondly, I get to play with students from around the world and my friends and battle them. The best part of World Maths Day is that you can see your progress and your improvement. When I was 5, I was a bit slow at division but now I am more familiar with my division tables. It would take me around 3-4 seconds to solve one division problem but now I can solve a problem in less than a second. If I did not play World Maths Day, I would not know how much I have improved.

World Maths Day also helped me to increase my number typing. I was not that fast in typing so my first high score was 18. But after 2 years of playing, my high score touched 106! Meaning my typing speed increased by 88. I can guarantee that if anyone practices hard, they will beat their high score. Do your best!
