Easter Holidays

Hi Everyone!

I’m now doing this blog post in the Netherlands (Amsterdam, Holland). I’m there for the easter holidays. In the spring, there are a lot of tulips in the fields. Unfortunately, this year the weather in Holland is not that good, there are a lot of grey clouds and not much sunshine. There are also windmills in Holland, and Holland is very environmental friendly. I’m here in Holland in the spring because I can’t be there in the summer to see my Mom’s family because I’m going on the cruise to Alaska and Vancouver. Hope  you can go to Holland sometime! 🙂

Chinese New Year!

Chinese New Year is coming, that means Year of the Dragon is coming according to the Chinese zodiac! My birthday is so close to the chinese new year, and I’m year of the dragon! The Zodiac was a race that happened long time ago, the animals had a competition, and 12 animals made it as the 12 zodiacs, the zodiac, for example the dragon, comes every 12 years, because of the other 11 animals. In the chinese race, here is their order: Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit (Hare), Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and last but not least, Pig. These are the 12 chinese zodiacs in order. Wish you all and your families a Happy Chinese New Year! or in Chinese 新年快樂! 🙂

2012!

On Sunday, we started 2012! the new year. I celebrated it with my Mom’s relatives, like her cousins and aunts. We went to one of her cousin’s restaurant. I went with my Dad, Mom, younger sister and my cousin’s family. We arrived at around 9:00 pm and stayed until 12:30 am or in 24 hour time 0:30. There were a lot of other people at the restaurant on New Years Eve, but at 11:00 pm, the restaurant only had around 15 people. I really enjoyed the dinner because we got to have pizza, chips and many other things. Then at 11:45 pm, some people we were eating dinner with came outside to get ready to countdown and turn the confetti tube we each had, and blast confetti in the sky at midnight. We started counting down 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1… Happy New Year! We all turned the handles to burst confetti. I struggled a little bit with the confetti tube, but in the end, I managed to get confetti out. I really enjoyed having dinner and kind of party. I really hope I can go to the restaurant again soon!
