This week we made an artifact out of clay and we are going to paint it next week. Then we are going to smash our clay artifact and bury the pieces into the sand.
I chose arrowheads because it is the easiest to make and kind of interests me. When I made the arrowhead out of clay I made it 5 times bigger. I shaped the arrowhead using my hand and used water to make the shape smooth and decrease the chance of cracking when its drying. Lastly, I used a tool to make lines for a rock texture.
After I was done, I washed my hands because they look like they grew fungus on them! I got a little stain on my shirt and I don’t like it there. My arrowhead hasn’t cracked open yet, so it’s fine. I still can’t wait for Dig Day, because we get to find another persons artifact!
