Breadwinnner Reflection #2

by Bernice on May 7, 2012

Finally I have read up to chapter 7, and it was fascinating. This time Parvana’s  father was sent  to jail by the Talibans, and on the second day Parvana and her mother went to jail because they wanted to rescue father, but they unfortunately failed. That night they came back very late and they were very tired from the hitting in prison. Few days later they ran out of food so Parvana went to the market to buy food, sadly she was chased by a Taliban from going out by herself, on the way she met Mrs. Weera, her teacher. In chapter 6 her mother realize that going out and in is very inconvenience for a girl (Parvana) so. . . they decided to turn Parvana into a boy by shaving her hair off.

I guess the next chapter would be about. . . Parvana going out in convenience and being able to earn money since she shaved her hair and now looks like a boy.
