This is my Personal Inquiry resource/planning sheet, as you can see I cropped it out from our class gmail account, every one has their own question which is related to child labour in the Philippines. My question was “What are the circumstances that deny children their rights and opportunities in the Philippines?”
I used reliable websites which is recommended by our teacher Mr. Brown. The evidence that I found was that child labour is rooted with poverty and here are some DEEPER REASONS why children are worked as slaves:
1. Children are to work for their own need/survival.
2. Their parents rather let their children go to work instead of going to school because there is no school nearby or again because of poverty.
3. It’s part of their culture.
REFLECTION:
I sort of did well at my P.I (Personal Inquiry), the reason I said that was that I sort of got stuck on getting some information which is reliable, but I still got through will it by using my knowledge what websites should be used and what should not be used.

Jethro, I like the way you included your research sheet. Good reflection on using reliable sources of information. We all know how important it is to use sources that aren’t biased or have another motive.
