I see you have updated your header image already. If you want to know how to make one like mine, read the below:
1. Get a photo of your class (and of course with Ms. Cahusac in it…).
2. Save a version of it, and crop out yourself. Parts of other people can be in it– it’s ok. Just make sure you are fully in the cropped section.
3. Insert your class photo into any editing program. I used Microsoft Power Point. Keynote is fine too if it is your preference.
4. Make the class photo transparent. I recall keynote has an “opacity” tool in inspector, and Power Point’s “transparent” tool will do the exact same thing.
5. Now, insert the cropped out image of you into the editing program. Try to match the cropped out image with the class image perfectly. Note: This may take quite a while.
6. Put an effect on the cropped image– in Power Point, use the effect “Soft Edge Rectangle”. I’m sure Keynote has a similar effect. The effect will blend into the transparent photo, which creates a smooth effect.
7. Use “Soft Edge Rectangle” again on the class photo.
8. Optional: If you want to prevent mistakes, you can take a screen shot of the current progress in full screen mode, and insert the new photo into another file.
9. Add text!
10. Take a screen shot in full screen and you have your photo! All you have to do is to upload it on your blog!
