As a thinker, I exercise initiative in applying critical and creative thinking skills to approach complex problems. To challenge myself with complex mathematics problems for instance, I represented my school in the annual South East Asian Mathematics Competition (SEAMC) for international schools in the region. I achieved the top rank in our school and applied critical thinking skills in unfamiliar contexts, showing my initiative and dedication to solving problems. We were also given long-term questions to work on over the course of the competition, which were significantly more complex than those I had seen in my academic work at school.
