As someone who is caring, I show empathy, compassion, and respect towards others and have a personal commitment to service. For example, I am involved in a leadership position for our school’s Refugee Educational Support Program, which aims to provide learning support to refugee children aged 3-10 in Hong Kong. As a leader of this club, I help organise weekly tutoring sessions and fundraising sessions, helping to address a pressing issue in my community. This shows my empathy and compassion towards the refugee situation in Hong Kong.  Here are a few photos and a sample lesson plan showcasing the work I do for the support program:

I also act to make a positive difference in the lives of others around me. In the classroom, I actively help peers approach difficult mathematics problems and strive to cultivate an interest for the subject in those around me.
