I’ve been reading Barbara Demick’s Nothing to Envy before bed every night in order to relax. Have nothing but praise for the book — it’s a wonderful piece of journalism that so meticulously explores the lives of ordinary citizens living under the world’s most notorious totalitarian regime, North Korea. It’s a great way to disconnect from technology before enjoying a refreshing eight hours of sleep.
Also trying out a bit of meditation in order to improve sleep quality. I love putting on Spotify’s ‘Peaceful Piano’ track as I let my mind wander.
In other news, I didn’t reach my goal of 7000 steps today as the bad weather meant I was stuck at home. I’ll try again tomorrow!
