Today we were looking at the ladder of participation of action. We were brainstorming different levels of action and how deep you get. They were split into 8 different groups. The first group being the least. This was a little tuning into our new unit Sharing The Planet. We learned some new words like, tokenism and manipulation. Some kinds of action people do it making a bake sale to give money to charities. That could count as action but they are not really doing anything. They are getting money but they are not the ones who are doing the action. The people who they are sending the money are the people who are actually making the difference.

For tuning into the new unit we played a game where we got split into three different colors, yellow, blue and red. We were all given a worksheet, so all the yellows got the same one and so on. I think the point of the game was to teach us about racism because the red and blues were in charge. They could tell the yellows what to do. They yellows could not even sit down. I was in the yellow group and I felt it was un fair because we had to write down 20 words that related to the theme, sharing the planet, while the other groups had to write only 10. The other groups could ask us to give them a marker or a piece of paper. Most of the class was yellow and the others were either red or yellow. Halfway through the game the yellows could swap to red or blue but since most of the class was yellow there were no more people I could swap with so I stayed with yellow.

This activity connects to the theme, An inquiry into rights and responsibilities in the struggle to share finite resources with other people and with other living things; communities and the relationships within and between them; access to equal opportunities; peace and conflict resolution, because the world is full of people of all kind some people boss others around which is racism and don’t give them their rights.

I liked the game because it taught me about racism.

This video is about sharing and why we should share.

This is a very magical and enchanted house.

First of all it is the shape of a shoe. It is way bigger than a normal house or any house at all.

The kids will love to swing on the shoe laces as swings and climb up the shoe.

The shoe (house) is really high up so it will be really fun to get out of the top and high window and swing down by the shoe laces and in front of the shoe !

I would really love to live in a house like this because it is really unique and seems really fun.

It was about a girl with brown hair, Bay and she feels that is is adopted because she looks so different from her mum and dad and brother having blond hair. There is also another girl with blond hair, Daphne and her mum has brown hair. Bay’s parents find out that they picked up the wrong baby at the hospital and are trying to get their right child. Daphne is deaf so you need to use sign language or talk really slowly for her to know what you are saying. Bay’s parents are trying to get Daphne to join Bay’s school so she can get all the privileges Bay has and so she can have a normal life, be with normal kids and go to a normal school so she doesn’t have to go to a special school for deaf people. I feel empathy for Daphne because she is deaf so it is hard for her to communicate with other people because she can’t understand what other people are saying and I don’t know what I would do if I was deaf.

These are some of my questions:

1. Why does Daphne have a accent because her parents don’t?

2.Why does Bay acting really weird now that her parents found out that Bay is not their real child and that they are trying to get Daphne?

I am really excited to finish the movie because it is really interesting and exciting.

The DOPE test is a test where you fill in your answers, Y or N to the questions and then you add them up and you will find out what your personal behavior is.

At the end you can either be a Dove, Owl, Peacock or Eagle. I was a Dove and a Peacock, meaning I got 50% on Dove and 50% on Peacock.

These are what they mean:

Dove: The dove is peaceful, loyal, hard working, you sometimes don’t try things that are dangerous and can risk getting hurt

Peacock: The peacock is in the centre of attention at loves to talk

I am peaceful and hard working and the part about not trying somethings that seen dangerous is try, but I don’t think I am so talkative. So I don’t know why I am a peacock.

For my bucket of learning this week, I chose to find the history of the RipStick.

The reason why I wanted to learn more about the RipStick is because I just learned how to do it so I am really interested in it.

This is what I found:

History of Razor USA

Razor USA, LLC was founded in Cerritos, California, in 2000. The company’s first successful creation was the Razor scooter. It has since developed a wide range of products, including the RipStik, Rip Rider and Pocket Mod.

RipStik Creation

Razor created the RipStik caster board to blend surfing, skating and snowboarding experiences into one. The RipStik has two platforms, one at either end, for the rider’s feet. Riders shift their weight to move themselves forward without having to touch the ground.

RipStik Models

The classic RipStik was one of 2007′s best-selling outdoor products, earning $70 million through September of that year. The RipStik now comes in several different models, including the G, the Air Pro and the RipSter.

Pricing

RipStiks were originally priced from $99 to $129. Some models now sell for as little as $49.Awards and Honors

In 2007, Wal-Mart featured the RipStik caster board on its “Top 12 Toys for Christmas” list. In February 2008, the Toy Industry Association named the RipStik the Outdoor Toy of the Year.

We just started learning about figurative language. Today we had to make a A3 poster with one poem and the poem needs at least three different types of figurative languages. My group did the task wrong and we chose three poems and two of the three poems had one figurative language. The third poem had three different types. We had to describe the authors purpose of where he/she put the figurative language. We also had to show where in the poem was the figurative language located.

We did the task wrong and did not do anything like that. We found three poems that had figurative language and just rewrote them on to the poster. We did not write the authors purpose.

I want to learn what some of the figurative languages mean because right now I just know what a simile means.

In PE class we talked about the central idea for team games, “Success in games depends on skills, rules, strategies and sportsmanship.” This post is to answer some questions related to the central idea.

1. What does sportsmanship mean to you/look like to you? Give some examples.

I think that sportsmanship is when you are playing a match, your team wins good sportsmanship would be to say good job and shake hands. Another example is that someone falls down or hurts them self good spotsmanship would be to go up and say are you alright.

2. Why is it important to follow the rules of a game?

I think that it’s really important to follow the rules of a game because if you don’t the game would be unfair and no one will have fun.

3. Why are good team strategies important to success in team games? Give examples of strategies for team handball. How would you create and or deny space in team handball. What is a strategy your team used in “Capture the Flag” to be more successful?

I think that team strategies are really important because without them no team will score any points. Some team handball strategies are some people stay near the goal so people can pass to you and you can shoot. Another one is to stay near the middle some your team mates can pass to you and you can pass to other people. A team capture the flag strategie is some people stay to guard the jail, some people guard the border so everyone guards and some people go to try to get the flag.

4. Describe why having strong skills helps your team be more successful? Give some examples of skills with a specific team sport in mind.

A skill you need to help your team in basketball is to be fast moving because at one moment you need to be blocking people and another moment you need to try to shoot.

5. Why does a team that is very physically fit have an advantage over a team that is not fit?

If your team is really good in the sport and the other team is not that good your team will of course win since your team is better in the sport.

This is one of my math menu activities. These are some real life examples of fractions, decimals and percents.

This is a fraction real life example, for example if you had 10 chocolates an you gave 5 to a friend, you gave half of it, 5 of the whole, you started with 10 and now you have 5/10 which is 1/2.

This is a decimal real life example, when you write money, you write it as a percent for example you have 1.25 which is one dollar and twenty five cents.

This is a percent real life example, when you do a test or exam you get your score it will normally be a percent so like you get 50% correct on the test or you get 75% correct on the test.

A few days ago we did another round-robin read aloud. The purpose of the class reading is to get students to feel more comfortable reading aloud.

The story Mr Deragon chose this time was called The Flying Machine written by Ray Bradbury.

The flying machine was about a Emperor named Emperor Yuan. Emperor Yuan has a servant and one morning he says that he saw a man flying. The Emperor wanted the man to calm down and speak with him. The Emperor was not happy with him and then killed him because he was worried that the invaders would take him and plan a attack on China. The story takes place in China near the Great Wall in A.D. 400.

Yes, the computer has a impact on my life because it makes everything work a lot faster and you can play games and you really can do everything on the computer.

Have you read any books or articles, or seen any movies about man and machine?

Yes, I have read the stort story that we read a few days ago.

What are some examples of technology being used or being used in the world?

Some different examples of technology are computers, kindle, TV, things that are digital and are electronic, i pod, some watches, smart boards

These were his three questions and my answers to them.

1. When is the right time to do something?

A. I think that the right time to do something is when you feel the time is right so you can’t do anything without knowing the time is right.

2. Who is the most important person to you?

A. Who ever you feel the most important person is. It could be you or your friend but is someone. It could be the king since the king is really important.

3. What is the most important thing to do?

A. What ever you think is the most important thing to do, it could be your favorite thing to do.

We had to circle our key words and then we read everyone’s sentences in our group. We sticked out sentences in our process journals.

This is my third writing prompt of the year.

Todays writing prompt picture is a castle and a under water mansion. I have to write to persuade you what is better. First I’ll tell you what I think is better is the castle, because who would want to live under water. Okay some of you might want to but I wouldn’t because you can’t breathe under water but you can get some equipment but that would just be a hassle. So I think the castle is better because first of all it’s outdoors and second of all castles are bigger than mansion and wouldn’t you want to live in a bigger place.

That’s why I would prefer to live in a outdoor castle than in a under water mansion.

We had another round-robin read aloud today. We started of at the part we finished yesterday. We each had parts to read, I was a narrator. Next time I would try to read louder. One thing I felt was weird in the story was that at the end one character was screaming, it’s not fair because she wanted to win the lottery. So everyone in my class agreed that by the very end of the story she would be dead because people were throwing stones and pebbles at her for making a big fuss when she did not win.

I really liked the story and I hope that 6B will do round-robin read aloud again.

Today in class we did round-robin read aloud. Round-robin read aloud is when we have a story and we go in a circle and each read one paragraph or a certain amount. The story Mr Deragon chose was “The Lottery” which was written by Shirley Jackson in 1948. We all had a turn reading but we did not finish the story.

One thing that I like about the story is that the author included sensory detail which is like telling the dates, the color of things, people’s names, saying that they stuffed their pockets with stones, like you give a lot of detail.

I also like how when the author wrote the story she wrote what the characters are feeling like she did not just say what they were doing, she wrote what they were doing and feeling.

I really like this book and can’t wait to read the rest.

One of the questions were: A rectangle is 7 inches long and 4 inches wide. What is its area? The answer to that question is 28.

To find the answer you have to multiply 7 by 4 because 7 is one side of the square and there are 4 sides in total so you have to multiply 7 by 4 to get the answer.

These are a few questions I have about the unit, How do we get water and where does it come from? How do oceans start?

Change is related to the unit because the world has changed over time like now many things are man made and not many things are natural. A long time ago there were not many mobile phones but now many people have mobile phones.

Appreciation is related to the unit because back then people had to work hard to get food, but now people just go to the store and they get food just like that it’s so easy.

The thing that interestes me is that people work so hard to get what we have now.

We have been working on math menus this past few weeks. The math menus is our summative assessment. So today I am going to show you how to find the area and perimeter of rectangles. To find the area of a rectangle you have to to multiply both the length and the width so if you had the width being 8cm and the length being 5 cm your answer would be 40cm.

To find the perimeter of a rectangle you just have to add all the sides of the rectangle so if you had 8cm,4cm,8cm,4cm you just need to add them together so your answer would be 24cm.

This is a rectangle I made using blocks.

Today’s task was to find a story about our a type of narrative text. We did this with a partner. My Partner was Samantha, check out her blog to see the exact same post:)! Samantha and I chose to research about fantasy fiction. We found a story called Mrs

Frisby and the Rats of Nimh. Today we will be discussing about what makes narrative text fiction (By the way, this is our prior knowledge so we might be wrong.)

We think that fantasy can be a narrative text because sometimes in fairy tales, legends and myths being a character in the story won’t be as detailed. But a narrative text, will be more exiting and detailed.

Not yet finished will be later.

Hi guys it’s a new school year, now I am in grade 6.

I really did not understand what the video meant it was really weird because to people in the video were wearing masks and the things they were doing were really weird but I think it meant that the kids were trying to break out of the school to escape.

The music in the video was nice to listen to so it guess it was a good video and I could see that the students in the school were trying to break out because they were using hammers to smash the school and that caused a fire.

The difference in the students school and our school is that their school the teachers are really mean to the students and in our school they are really nice.

So thanks for watching and reading.

Please comment below what you think of the video.

So Ms Cahusac said that we had to build a model of a dream house that we would want to live in. This does not have to be a house, some students made hotels, schools, etc. The model was made on MineCraft. Okay you would think MineCraft is not a good thing to play with at school, but it is logical and it taught me a lot more about area and perimeter. Stuff that I would have never learned if it wasn’t for MineCraft.

I had many problems while making my dream house. First of all I had a room that was 1 meter by 2 meter and this was my first time on MineCraft so I didn’t know how to play. This room was the entrance and it was one meter long so I could not get in. So I had to change the plan a little bit. So don’t comment saying why My plan is different from my room tour.

It was really fun building my dream house, but I could not finish in time so my friend Dynamo 24 helped me finish.

Please watch my house tour below.

I hope you enjoy and this is my floor plan.

Recently in school we have started a new unit about the human body and how it changes. The central idea in this unit is: Throughout life our bodies go through changes that are caused by many factors. The concepts in this unit are causation, responsibility and change.

Some interesting facts about the human body is that you are taller in the morning than in the afternoon, your brain is 80% water, Your brain is more active at night than in the day when the rest of your body is.

For my independent research, I am thinking of choosing the change puberty. I am interested in how your body changes when in puberty. My biggest questions are: When do children start puberty? What are the signs of puberty? When will you finish puberty?

I am looking forward to the rest of this unit and learning about puberty.

We have been learning about children rights and how every child needs to have equal rights. A PSA is a public service announcement. A PSA is a video that is in informational video that will teach you something. We made a PSA about a children right because since we put it on You Tube lot’s of people will see it and will help donate money or try to get all children an education and Ms.Cahusac wants to see if we know how to also make a PSA with i Movie. My PSA is the right to education. You have the right to a good quality education. You should be encouraged to go to school to the highest level you can. You have that right – so why don’t all children have that right?

This unit is about children rights and how all children should have the same rights and be equal. I have learned the names of some children rights. I want to know who made children rights?

The way that making the PSA shows that I’m responsible is that I am doing this to help children. I am doing this for all children to have the right to education. It is my responsibility that all children can have an education.

So if we all work together this can all happen all children can go to school for the highest level possible. So please watch the PSA that I made.

We can all make a difference.

There were about 10 kids and we went down stairs to play. We played baseball, football, tennis and basket ball. It was really fun. Best of all my dad and the other dads went downstairs to hide Easter eggs. Then it was the Easter egg party. I found lot’s of eggs by my brother is so good at finding objects. We all had a lot of fun. We watched movies and played PS3 and then we went to the stables to feed the ponies and horses. I had a lot of fun grooming the horses. Then everyone went back to the house. Everyone started to play PS3, but me and another girl were playing hide and seek (hahaha). Everyone ate cake, cookies and then ice cream. Then the parents started to talk and the kids went to my room and played. My brother and the other boys were playing cards and the girls drew on the white board. When the parents were finally done talking we said goodbye but after a few families left one of the mum’s necklace broke so me and my brother were on the floor finding the beads. We found a few and then they left.

I really liked the Easter party.

When we had class community circle (CCC) time we each had to say a funny story that happened over the Easter break. My favorite story was the one told to us by Ms. Cahusac. Over the Easter break Ms. Cahusac went to Thailand with Ms. Kinsinger and Ms. Carmen. When they were in Thailand, Ms. Cahusac and Ms. Kinsinger hired a motorcycle each for one day to explore the city. When they started off Ms Cahusac was in the lead. When they were driving back Ms. Kinsinger wanted to be in the lead. They had agreed in the beginning that they will not use the highways because you have to ride really fast on the highways and they were scared to ride fast. However, when they were driving back they took a wrong turn and it led them straight to the super fast highway that they wanted to avoid!!! They stopped when they could at the side of the road and started to laugh. I thought this was so funny because they ended up doing what they didn’t want to do ….. and also I was trying to picture them in that situation.

Over the Easter break I signed up to participate in the CDNIS Mandarin Easter Exchange Program. The exchange program was open to Grade 4, Grade 5 and Grade 6 students. It was with the Yi Hai Primary School in Beijing. It was a 8 nights/9 days program. A total of seventeen students from Grade 4, Grade 5 and Grade 6 participated.

The Grade 5 and Grade 6 students were assigned a Grade 4 buddy/family in Beijing and the Grade 4 students were assigned a Grade 3 buddy/family in Beijing. The reason for this was, all the subjects in Yi Hai Primary School were taught in Mandarin and the Chinese teachers in CDNIS were not sure if we could cope in class. Before I left for Beijing I thought my Mandarin was okay, after I got there, was a different thing, I didn’t understand a word that was said in class, even the English teachers did all the explaining in Mandarin! They spoke really fast and it was very difficult to understand what they were saying.

My buddy is a grade 4 student. Her name is Wang Shu but she asked me to call her Susan. Susan is the only child. The whole time I was in Beijing, Susan’s dad was away on a business trip so I never got to meet him. Susan and her mum were so welcoming, friendly and warm. They made me feel at home and that helped me a lot as this was the first time I was away from my family.

We had four days for field trips which was very interesting and fun. We went to the Beijing Museum and 798 Art Gallery. One day we went shopping to the famous Wang Fu Jin street which was great as I bought lots of stuff back for my family. We also went to The Happy Valley Amusement park, which is very big and beautiful as it had displays of artwork. I only managed to go on one ride as the lines were so long! Geoff Ko laoshi and Maggi Chen laoshi accompanied us on our field trips.

They days we had to attend classes, Susan and I used to walk to school and we were at school by 7:30 am. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at school. Breakfast was tough as I was not used to eating Chinese breakfast and I don’t think I’ll get used to. One day they served cake for breakfast, now that I could get used to eating everyday! Lunch and dinner was good. School days were really long as we always got home just after 8pm! We always had after school activities after dinner which were very interesting. One day we had to paint a plate. We had a tea class one evening, where we were introduced to different types of Chinese tea and we could try them. We also had Chinese calligraphy class.

I also met up and spend a few days with Hong Yuan and her family. Hong Yuan was my buddy when she visited Hong Kong last October with The Yi Hai Exchange student program. During the Ching Ming festival I went out with Susan’s and Hong Yuan’s family. We went to a vegetable farm and picked vegetables. I had very enjoyable time with both families.

Most students would have gone away with their families or spent time with them during the Easter break, whereas I chose to go on this trip because I felt it was a great opportunity for me to learn more about the Chinese culture, language and also help me learn and try news things. I made so may new friends. It taught me to be more independent and be more confident. I missed my family a lot but I spoke with them every morning when I woke up and every night before I went to bed and that helped me a lot. I really enjoyed going away on this program and I encourage others to try it if ever they get an opportunity.

I hope you all had a very enjoyable Easter break…… I know I did.

This current unit is about Sharing The Planet – The human rights of children.

The key concepts of this unit is responsibility and causation.

In this unit I have learned the names of different children’s rights organizations such as Building Walls of Wisdom, March of Dimes and Room to Read. I have also learned some names of people who helped and supported children’s rights like Iqbal Masih, Craig Kielberger, John Wood and Anne Frank.

The most important thing that I have discovered in this unit is about cases where children have been treated badly and cases where children have made a significant difference in helping other children. For example Iqbal Masih and Anne Frank. I have also learned about the different organizations and people helping and donating money to poorer countries by building schools, homes and supplying food to help make a change.

The most surprising thing that I have learnt in this unit is about how young the children were when they were sold into bonded labour at carpet factories, like Iqbal Masih who was only four years old when he was forced into bonded labour!

If I could join an organization to try and make a difference in children’s lives I would join Building Walls of Wisdom because they help build schools for children in poor countries. I believe that with education people can have a better job and a better life and with education people are aware of their rights and as such will not be bullied into doing things they do not want to do.

The ways people can support children’s rights is by being made aware of the injustice that is done to the children around the World and take action against the people treating the children badly. People can also help educate the children so they are aware of their rights.

Some ways people can deny children’s rights are by starving children, abusing them by hitting them. Deny them an education and forcing them into bonded labour.

For my PSA (Public Service Announcements) I am thinking about doing The Right of Education.

This unit has made me feel thankful for what I have in my life, sad and angry that there are so many children in different parts of the World who do not have a proper home, food or even basic education, who are forced into bonded labour. So many of them do not even live or know their parents.

She has curly red hair, freckles and her favorite color is purple. Her favorite subject is creative writing. My favorite book in this series is called The Adventures of Abby Hayes – Too Close For Comfort and It takes place on the 4th of July. Abby along with her mum, dad, brother and twin sisters go to a 4th of July party. Abby meets a girl named Hannah, who is the same age as Abby and they become good friends. Abby invites Hannah on a family camping trip for a week. Abby thinks that Hannah might not like her if her family acts how they normally do on camping trips that is burping, telling bad jokes, telling embarrassing stories about Abby when she was younger, fight etc. So she makes her family promise not to behave badly. Turns out Hannah really likes Abby and her family. One morning on their camping trip Abby’s dad, brother, Hannah and Abby go out for a walk and they get lost.

Read the book to find out about their adventures and how they find their way back to camp.

I recommend this book to people who like reading books with a bit of adventure and wit.

My partner and I are planning to make a sculpture of a squid using cans and plastic bags. I have been trying to collect empty cans for the past week, not all get placed in my recycling box – some get thrown in the bin by mistake and eventually are going to end up in the landfill!!

Hi again,

Today my class 5D and 5E went to a Eco Park there are two parts in the Eco Park the first part you go to is museum and they talk about land fills and that they are almost full. There are three land fills in Hong Kong and they are in the New Territories I saw a graph of the years 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. It also shows me how much of garbage we waste. In 2005 it was really high which tells me that people wasted a lot then. In 2006, it dropped down a lot and the years after that it was about the same. It dropped down a lot because in 2005 people did not know about recycling so they just wasted it. In the second part of the park we got to see a area where some women were organizing the garbage in seven different piles. I also learned that there are seven kinds of plastic.

Can you guys comment down below what you think some of the plastics names are.

Recently me and my classmates got to watch an exciting movie called National Treasure. It was about two people, named Ben and Riley, who were looking for a special treasure. The map to it was hidden behind the The Declaration of Independence. No one believed Ben and Riley that a treasure existed. In the end Ben and Riley found it.

I really liked watching this movie because I love adventure. My favorite part of National Treasure was when Ben gave a special coin to a women who like to collect things and has a coin collection. This movie is connected to our UOI because we are learning about history and this movie is about history.

I really liked this movie and would recommend this movie to any one who loves adventure.

Please comment below if you think that Ben and Riley will find the treasure .

On Tuesday, November 29th 2011, my class went to watch a performance called Splat organized by Faust. There were three performers and they were acting out thirty poems! I liked how they acted the poems. They were GREAT! My favorite part was when they acted out a poem called Sand. It was my favorite poem because I knew it and also could relate to it. I’ve posted the poem below for those of you who do not know it.

Sand

Sand in your fingernails.

Sand between your toes.

Sand in your earholes.

Sand up your nose!

Sand in your sandwiches.

Sand on your bananas.

Sand in your bed at night.

Sand in your pajamas!

Sand in your sandals.

Sand in your hair.

Sand in your trousers.

Sand everywhere!

By John Foster

I know how the author feels because when I came back home from the beach – I can’t seem to get rid of all that sand!

Overall a very enjoyable performance!

Hi again guys!

Photo of the day is when we look at photos together as a class, choose one that is our favorite, and write about it. Today we had photo of the day and I chose a photo of a carpet. I chose the photo of the carpet because last summer I went to India and saw how carpets were made. I found out that it takes about a few years to make a really big carpet. Some smaller carpets also took a year or more to make because of the details on them. The carpets I saw were so beautiful, they were like paintings, you could even hang them on the walls. If a customer wanted to use the carpet as a wall hanging, then leather strips will be sewn on the back of the carpet with rings attached to the leather strips. All the customer has to do is put a stick through the rings and hang it on the wall. My brother and I were having fun lying on the different carpets, feeling them and trying to tell which was the softest, and telling our parents which ones they should buy, sadly they bought none ! Here is the photo of the carpet I chose.

CDNIS loves Halloween in a big way. We love Halloween because we all can get together as one BIG team, dress up, have amazing Halloween assemblies, sing spooky songs, have grade wide parties and have lots and lots of FUN. Our school has celebrated Halloween from the beginning (I think?). The teachers encourages everyone to participate. I guess it’s the built up and excitement towards Halloween, discussing and planning the costumes, waiting to see what your friends / teachers will wear that makes us love Halloween. Most of the Lower school teachers dress up in a theme – this year the grade 5 teachers dressed up in The Star Wars theme. They put up a funny “Star Wars” episode skit

Art Jamming is a art studio where they give us a canvas and loads of paint and we get creative. Our teacher said that we should paint a feeling like happy or exited and we had to select a theme color that we would use the most.
My picture is to show a feeling of peace. I painted a Buddha face and used bright colors. I wanted to use pink because I was thinking of Mr Dick, my Principle who died two years ago on that day. I was thinking of him, and hope he is in peace now.
I had bright pink, but my background on the canvas was yellow so ……. it turned to a shade of orange
I am actually having a bit of a difficulty uploading the photo of my painting, I’ll get my teacher to help me. So stay tuned, in the mean time try to imagine how it might be
Here is a video of us painting.
Click here to view the embedded video.

I express myself by going on skype once or twice a week, especially to my aunt and cousins who live in Australia and Malaysia. Skyping is great as you get to see the person you are talking to and show them stuff which is so amazing especially when they live so far away from you, best of all it’s FREE! I sometimes e-mail my friends and my family who do not live in Hong Kong to keep in touch with them.

With my friends in Hong Kong, I’d rather talk to them on the phone rather than e-mailing them. Sometimes I text them. I also go blogging and go on keynote.
