Trash Art! – One man’s trash is another man’s art!

Do you know what Trash Art is? Well, Trash Art is a form of art made using trash!
In grade 5 our current unit of inquiry is about Waste Management and The Environment. Our teachers thought that it would be a good idea for the students to make a sculpture out of trash. My partner and I are planning to make a sculpture of a squid using cans and plastic bags. I have been trying to collect empty cans for the past week, not all get placed in my recycling box – some get thrown in the bin by mistake and eventually are going to end up in the landfill!! Can you guess how many cans will be used to make our sculpture?
