“Science does not give the taste of the moon.” – Albert Einstein

Science is factual, and mostly quantitative, meaning that qualitative knowledge and sensations cannot be portrayed. In order to give an emotional and scientifically indescribable knowledge, art must be used.

While science gives a truth relating to facts and near-absolute knowledge concerning the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of the universe (defined using logic and reason), the purpose of art is to identify the truth in sensory imagery that an individual understands, through the use of intuition. In using intuition to find truth helps us realize a deeper metaphysical truth as to what the art aims to show. In regard to this, the knowledge given by art is hard to falsify and prove.
