Reflection about making a movie trailer

by Florence on February 17, 2012

Last week, in school the whole class made a… Movie Trailer about a specific PYP concept!

Before that we looked at 1 or 2 official movie trailers and made a list about what we think makes a good movie trailer. This is what our class came up with:

- It should be exciting and have a type of hook

- The music should fit the setting and mood of the story

- There should be more close up shots so people can see it properly

- The trailer should have some suspense

- It should not have any spoilers

- Each slide should be only 1 or 2 seconds long

- There should not be too much text

- There should be emotion

I was excited to start making the movie trailer but I was sick and missed part of the filming so my group finished it…

I loved the way you put a link to the definition of “hook”.

Nice photo of a clapper board! What attitudes did you exemplify while making the video with your group? What about attitudes? It must have been frustrating missing some of the filming.

It was quite frustrating but I am very proud of the outcome!

Great reflection and although you were sick for the rest of the filming, you still did well on giving out ideas.
