So I chose an article that relates to hunger and poverty. This article is about people who live in poverty have to live on food from the trash. There are over fifty percent of adults who don’t have jobs and has to live on food from the trash. The City put padlocks on the garbage bins because they think its not right for people to look for food in this manner. The Caritas report also found that 22 percent of Spanish households were living in poverty and that about 600,000 had no income whatsoever. Sometimes they have different groups ready to pounce on different trash bins in the city just has the supermarket was closing. They are basically relying on thrown away food to survive.

I didn’t know that refugees can be really in danger sometimes, I thought when they escape from their country their safe. Also I didn’t know that some refugees get resettlement services. My research question is what happens to refugees in the U.S.. I think my topic relates to the book a lot. First of all the two main characters of the book relates to the refugees, both got into another country and had resettlement services. There are some skills I learned that I forgot how to do and that was recording on keynote. Also another thing I learned is uploading a video to youtube. I liked that we get to learn a lot of new things and we can practice the different skills. I wasn’t really happy that we had to put it on youtube, also maybe we could have a little bit more time .

The process of writing this short story was interesting and fun. One of my favorite types of writing is writing short stories. The skills I learned through the whole process is using dialogue, I knew what dialogue is but I didn’t exactly know the format of it. Another skill I learned is writing the setting of the story. Getting feedback from others really helped me to learn these things.

If I could do the presentation next time I would have prepared more because I wasn’t really prepared, I wouldn’t read from my screen all the time and I would have gave more detail of what I did because my presentation was really short compared to others. Next time I hope we have our stories graded too, not just the presentation, because I worked the hardest on the story and not on the presentation. Later on you find out your story isn’t important to the presentation and all the hard work is gone.

The habit that I think I need to change is doing my homework really slowly and eventually having to stay up late. Then the next day I end up really tired and I can’t concentrate well. Usually when I get home I would usually have a tutor or a lesson, then after the lesson I start on my homework until it’s dinner time which is not a lot of time. After dinner I would have another lesson and sometimes I do my homework during the lesson. Then after the lesson which is about 9:30 I start my homework. If I don’t have much homework left to do I do the homework for the other day. But when I have a lot of homework I do them very slowly because sometimes I get up and get a snack, then after five minutes I go do something else. So I think I can change by spending sometime just focusing on homework and not do anything else. That is the only habit hat is affecting me.

There isn’t a lot of questions I want to ask. Patterns is important in life because when you buy or sell things sometimes you will need to use patterns.

The good thing about my bird is that I have it completed and I am happy of what I got. What I would like to work on is maybe using clay or something that is not paper mache because if you don’t have enough layers you can have a huge hole in the paper mache when the balloon starts loosing its air. So that is what happened to me. Also when I painted the layers of paint on the news paper, when it dried the newspaper is visible underneath. My work outside class is sufficient because I worked on some of the body parts at home like the beaks, and the wings. I think I used my time well in class but there is one part of the environment I didn’t get to finish because I was in a rush to fix my table. Overall I think I manage my time pretty well except for one or two things like the sky of the environment. If I had a chance to do this again I would have tried using clay or something else because paper mache takes a little too long to dry.

When I was researching about Shi HuangDi, I learned a few things. First of all, I learned how to use Noodle tools note cards. At first it was really confusing, later on it was really easy to use. The only problem with the notecards is that it didn’t save, so I ended up with only one. The second thing I learned is writing fluently. At first my writing was sort of all over the place but after I learned how to write better, my writing improved. My original one starts like “Shi HuangDi was born in 259 BC. His death was at the age of 49 in 210 BC. He was known for many successful things and many unsuccessful things.” My revised one start like “In life, powerful people have always some good and some bad in them. Birth in 259 B.C., and death at age 49 in 210B.C.” Those are the things I learned that could be useful in the future.
