Reflection

This unit the How we organize ourselves unit we learned a lot of wonderful stuff.

We went to the Ecopark and we learned a lot of stuff such as, what are H.K recycling systems and H.K’s amount of garbage they produce everyday. We also learned how to help the environment for example: we can help the environment by writing smaller because that way we can use less paper, and if we use less paper less trees will be cut down, its like a cycle: first, we cut the trees for paper purposes, second, animals will die from deforestation, third, mosquitoes will be breeding faster and faster, fourth, we humans get sick for flu, fifth, we will starve to death because either we are sick or we are hungry, so we better stop cutting trees otherwise we will die too.

At school we did a ton of research for example: we watched shows like Wa$ted, Pearl report, Story of stuff and much else, we looked at books such as Lorax and Just a dream, we also did persuasion writing, persuasion reading and reading speeches 3 times, we also learned what is a skeleton and how to make a skeleton and turn it into either a speech or a persuasion, we also broke down the central idea at the first week of when we knew the unit and we also learned where does your rubbish go when we throw it away in H.K we learned ways of disposing rubbish in H.K such as composting, recycling, reducing, reusing, dumping, ect. We also learned that what will happen in the world if we don’t stop throwing trash into the rubbish bin the world will turn into dumps for example: the floor will be full will overfilled garbage bags, cars will be souring around roads causing pollution, ect.

I learned inside words like decisions mean solutions, actions, steps, reaction, ect. Solid waste means paper, metal, plastic, e-waste, rubber, food, ect. Affect means what happens after, benefit, destruction, reaction, ect. Environment means air, earth, land, ect. Societies mean people, government, cities, families, ect. Management means design, handle, control, ect.

The most important thing I learned in this unit is how I can help the environment I can help the environment by reusing paper, use less water by take shorter showers and don’t take baths, and much more.
