During this camp I was caring and balances. I was caring because I gave people candy  and for balances I would read 20 mins every night. I would On this trip I met lots of new people from different classes, I got to know around 3 new people and I am now pretty good friends with them. I first shared candy with them and they treat me some other candies and chips with me. In this camp I found out going to scouts was very helpful because most of the skills they show was taught in scouts. In the whole camp lots of little thing challenge me but I think the rock climbing was the most challenging because I could not grab on to one of the rocks so I tried a few times, lucky after a few time I was successful. Everyday I would bring all my stuff to the meeting place and never be late also I counted all the boys and girls in my group see if anyone is missing. I learn that it is very hard for the poor to get smarter if they do not have to right martial. Therefore I donated pencils, pens and all other stuff for kids to use. After this camp I know that my outdoor skill are much better then my indoor skills.

The book the other side of truth was about two children in trying to get safely. I like the novel because they used lots of vocabulary  and visual imagery. In this book I learn lots of vocab about the refugees such as asylum, refugee claimant and ETC. Since we had a project I was able to use the vocab from the book which was new to me.

The new project that we have to do was make a presentation about refugee. In this process I learned about the how to record . In this project I like making the presentation as researching but I did not like the uploading part because it never work, the time was some how never correct. This project was made by a group, I was paired with my friend(043050). He did most of the script and the keynote, but I did the researching. I wanted to help on the presentation but we could not share the project.

From a scale of 1-5 I would rate myself 4, because I know most of the things that she talked about. When learning about fractions and decimals I had no stress at all because it was easy expect for the level 7-8 questions on the test. Everything was easy because I learned this stuff from my math teacher long time ago. I did lots of self learning at home such as watching khan academy. I got a very low mark because a I messed up in the first 5-6 question make all the other ones wrong. My favorite activities was doing the text book work because it was useful.

One of habits is that I have that is not good is I am not good in time keeping time. Sometime I am very slow in doing homework and also slow doing class work. To fix this problem I think that I need to be more fouce  more.

I think that the bird was very werid but I think that I can make it better if I have more time. Went I was making the bird I had trouble sticking the birds wings on. At that time I could not think of hot glue so I wasted lots of time doing that. I think it was kind of suffcient because wer had very little time to make our bird. I think I did not mangage time so well because I just made it on time to hand in. If it could start over I would put some feather and make its body it little smaller. I think I did pretty well for a pretty short time I think Should get a 3 or 4.

In this unit learn how to figure out patterns in a short patterns. It was also kind of easy in some parts. I did not like the number sequences and also the hand shake problem was kind of hard. I learn how to figure out  a pattern by a formala in a short time. Right now think I am fine and I have no problem with patterns. I think that pattern are very important in life is predicting the future.

The unit that we are learning about in humanities is Qin Shi Huangdi.  He is the first emperor in China which live a long time ago from 259bc to 210bc. Our class had to research about him under some questions. After researching we had to make a poster, we had to use the  CRAP design to make it. I thought that it was very useful because it made the poster look very nice after using the CRAP.  If  we didn’t we would have fail it because every  things is going to be very messy.

In Humanities we are studying about Qin Shi Huangdi. I am looking at health and social education as the area of interaction because back then people in China had little education and also Shi Huangdi kill and torcher lots of people.

Today in class we talked about the little bit of natural land that is standing right next to our school and how Ocean Park wants it. The reason why Ocean Park wants it is because they are loosing 17% of profit each year. On that little hill, different types of plants live there, maybe some of them are protected such as the  Benyand tree. Our world has lots of pressure  because the government is keep taking water fronts and filling up. The government has took the Chinese white dolphins breeding place so now the dolphins has to go the tip of Lantau land, but then now the government is now trying to take there home the building a bright to China. Hurting the environment is bad for us because the air all comes from the trees. Cause of that we have to protect that little hill of trees of ocean park.

On the grade 7 hike, we walked from Aberdeen to The Peak, and it took us around 4 hours. This hike requires us to observe the 5 AOI such as approaches to learning, community and service, health and social education, environment, and human ingenuity.

Environment:  During the hike, I saw a bulldozer and lots of paved and fenced areas. I think that we should not destroy the environment because 1: the environment is really nice 2: lots of animals live there, so if  you destroy their homes, those animals are most likely will die. And the worker in the bulldozer I think he was trying to built a new pavement, so it will be easier to walk to the Peak which has one of the best view in Hong Kong. I think that the only reason that the government allows them is because it wants to promote more people to walk.                                                                                                                                                                                                 (The view from The Peak)

Approaches to learning: On the hike, our teacher told us to pick up different types of leaves that we saw on the way. We had to use a plastic bag to collect the leaves and then took a picture at where we got it from. After the hike, some of the leaves had been rotten and others got dried up.

Human ingenuity: People know that if we cut down lots of trees, we will have problems in changing the carbon dioxide back to oxygen and trees can clean up dirty air as well.  Therefore, the health of the public will be badly affected. Also, we know that if we cut down lot of trees, animals will die out which is not a good thing.  However, it may result in lesser mosquitoes which I hope this can come true.

Community service: On the way while walking up to the Peak, I saw some trash on the floor laying around everywhere. I think that the community which lives on the Peak should help to clean up the trash because they live closest to the path.

Health and social education: I think that they should make the trail a little nicer so that people will hike more on that trail which will make him more healthy. It is because that if we exercise a few times a week, we would become more healthy.

A few days ago in class we learned how to think using the lenses that the teacher thought us how to. In our table group we discuss how to help the people in China that where the earthquake happen. My able group was discussing about the about health and social education. My group thought about give food, donating money to the city and all other ideas. And the one we choose that we think was most important was social education. Some people can teach them what to do when the earth quake is happing. Like you hold your neck and couch down as small as you can a stand up went the earthquake is finish.

After SLLR I hope that my parents learned a little more about want I learn in school every .Preparing the SLLR was a lot of work because there is lots of subjects.By preparing the SLLR I learn that I should be more organize all time because if you are organize and prepare. When you are talking to your parents you will feel a little more confident because you are prepared. The hardest part of preparing is planing what are you going to do for each subject. Also if I can do my SLLR again i would want to improve in my Unit of in inquiry because I don’t think i did that good and the rest is fine. The best part of SLLR is P.E and music because I like those subjects.

Parents:

Adrian has done his preparation for his presentation, and they are were generally clearly presented except for the unit enquiry in which he could not relate the theme for the unit of enquiry to the project he has done.

Through out the Cultural Revolution presentation, I noted  that Adrian has developed some skills in collecting and analyzing information and understanding difficult concept.

Before Grade 6 Adrian seems to be stronger over his mathematics and science related subjects but I feel he has improved a lot over his language skill. Right now his strength is still on the number side but the literacy skill is catching up.

Despite his improvement over his language skill, there is still much room for improvement over spelling and basic grammar.   I have repeatedly asked him to proof read and spell check his works before submitting but it has not become a habit for him yet.

Today our class watched the a video called Kony 2012, lots of people around the world don’t know him but he is one of the people that is on the list of one of the most biggest crimes done. He  kidnapped lots of kid to make one big child army, in that army there are almost 80,000 kids. All the boy are soldiers, and they are force to kill people. So Jacob is one of the kids who is in the army, that escaped. When the maker of the video saw jacob, jacob told him about the most the kids in Uganda going thought. And at that time the maker of the video want to arrest him. So now they made a plan to try to capture him.

When I hear Action, Power and technology I think of Action is the strongest then power is the second strongest and technology is the last one but even it is still last if there is no technology it will be harder to do stuff like work and other thing that need the computer.

On the 2nd of February  I presented my news flash article. My article was about pandas pollution, and the people all over china are trying to help pandas. The environment international train the farmer to be come bee farmer because farming is not eco friendly  becuase you have to cut down tree to have space to farm. But then if you farm bees you don’t need much space so you can cut down less trees. I thought I did very  bad but I actually did not do that bad as I thought .

Coming back from winter break was ok not to good but not to bad. There was some good things and some bad things the good things I can relax more and see my friends. The bad thing was I had to wake up very early in the morning which is horrible. I feel very happy and very unhappy in the same time because our teacher leave and we got a new teacher. In the coming months I hope that I will have lots of fun and at the same learn lots of stuff.

Today and yesterday our class went to a grade 9 civics simulation, it was very fun. My favorite one is the Blindness game  because you get to walk around with a blind folder. The people make you write your name, write a sentences and eat a potato chips, it was very tasty. Mrs draper she is the civics teacher for grade 9 she is very nice to us. Each day I did three simulations my second favorite is the land mine one because you walk on the news paper and try not to step on the land mine. When I go to grade 7 I will choose civics because it is fun.

On the easter holiday I went to Paris, France  it was very fun because we went to lots of famous places like the Effiel Tower and to Monmark  this places are very old  there are like 200 years old. I went with my  two aunty and my mom and dad. We went to Paris for 10 days and 9 nights.For the first 6 days we stay in a hotel  call Evergreen my mom said that it was one of the best hotel she went to in Paris because usually  the hotel rooms are very small.

My  artifact is elephant I made a fake artifact because had a field trip that is call dig day . Before we get to the best the teacher will break the artifact in to a few pieces then put it in the sand and let us dig up the artifacts I dig up someones Katana swords the sword is fake .We build the fake artifacts with clay . The dig day is on April 7 and the teachers break it on April6 .

In the past few days my class has watched a movie called National Treasure. My class watched this movie because this movie taught about the past and the treasure that USA was hiding from the British .

The five main points of this movie are:

1. His grandfather told him about the history of the treasure.

2. He tried  to find the boat that was called Shirlet.

3. He tried  to steal the Decoration Of Independence.

4.He fought for the Decoration Of Independence.

5.  He found the next clue for finding the treasure.

Our teacher asked our class to look at some pictures and guess where did they come from and what was it , Who used it and how old was it. The difference between interpreting and guessing is: the former one required certain knowledge and the latter one does not.

In the cemetery my group went to the cemetery there were 25 groups in each group there is five people. My group was all girls < I am a boy >.This cemetery is in happy valley ,HongKong, we saw a lot of graves. This is the oldest cemetery and it is full, no one can by buried in the cemetery.There was one person had a plane crash and she got buried there. I saw one grave that is from 1649. I have lots of fun with my group and learn lots of stuff.

In the past two weeks we are read a book call lqbal.We are read this book because our until is about child heros around the world. To know the places we play a game call travel pod iq.lqbal is a very brave boy how is a very brave boy , he want every kid to be free from child labor . He free lots of children from being slave. He stand up for million of children and he show a very good encouragement to bring up children future.

On January 20 it went to the library pit we listen to 2 poet michael salinger and sarah holbrook. These two poet are from a USA they teach our school Gr.10.Gr.9,Gr.8,Gr.7,and Gr.5 he and she are not marry they are around 50 to 60 year old they teach us how to read poems with expression .

Alice Pet die yesterday,it was a pet hamster and it was 4 year old. She got it for she birthday, the color was white and black.She put it in a cage the color of it is pink.She feed it hamster food, she feed it every two days.She likes it a lot is is very sad that her hamster die.

On 12-1-2011 I  will have a winter performance, it is very scare because I have to perform. I am the factory boss of DJ09. Our  play is about saving the earth because our unit  is about our earth.  DJ 18 is the father , DJ 15 is the mother and the child is DJ 14. I was very nerves because my group was the first in our class.there our 5 group 3 people did not perform because they did not join a group like DJ3 ,DJ8 and DJ21. Our grade performance is 1 hour in 30 mins, we sang we are able  and Michel Jackson earth song choir.

I think Bulldog 06 PSA is good because it make you feel sad in the front and happy in the end.

My Christmas Holidays

On my Christmas holiday it was find because I had a lot of homework but then I also have fun. I went to my mom friend wedding with my family. It was in the mandarin hotel < Hong Kong > the mandarin hotel is a five star hotel < rated by Marriot >. It has 30 floors< it should have 30 floors I guess >

Also I still home doing homework I did tons of I did like 100 pages of work mostly is math and some English because she want me to prepare for the SCAT test if you pass the test you will go a good university for summer school.

Next day I went to the movies I watch Mega Mine and Gulliver’s  travel, both movies are funny. The Mega Mine is about a blue alien come from a blue plant but then his plant was going in to the black hole so mom and dad put him in rocket and then it take of a he landed a prison so the prisoners teach him bad thing so when he get old he rob the bank and do bad stuff. Gulliver travel is about he takes a boat and then he landed into city first he tease the the people that they are so small and then the small people beat him up.

I also win a golf match with my uncle  we hit 52 it looks i did very bad indeed it is hard you some time have to use a club for the whole ,one hand golf , using plastic golf clubs and and using parent golf club.

In my class we had a book challenge, we had to read a book in ten days. I read a book call “Zombies Butts From Uranus” it was by Andy Griffiths. The book was about a Zack Freeman was trying to beat up the zombies butt from Uranus his mom and dad when to Uranus and for a mission and they fail in to a create and they try to come out and zack freeman try to defeat the zombies butts .

Yesterday I went to the grade 6 sale there are lot of thing to buy like silly band, nerf gun, ruby balls and etc.They did the grade 6 sale a few time because there until was about businesses so they did a sale.I brought a jumping toy that can jump around 2 meter.It was $25 dollars < i do not think it is a rip of> they did the sell because  there until is about  businesses so there summative assessment is a sale.it looks easy but most of the grade 6 said it was very hard when print a color paper you have to pay $5 dollar.

A south korea war boat is lie on the sea incase north korea have war with them and south korea is defending its self from north korea .North korea recently shoot a missile at south korea now china is supporting north korea and U.S.A is supporting south korea.People say that our world might have world war 3 if north and south korea work together , then we will not have world war 3.<North korea is communism so china will support north korea, and south korea is capitalism so U.S.A is support south korea>I support china and north korea

I think that the best way to get away the rubies is to throw it away<not in the sea in the trash can>The worst way to to burn it ,if you burn plastic because it will realest dioxin the air that is very bad .The movie is about some people are pollution the earth then earth saves try to help them save the earth.We watch  2 movie in at DVD one of  them is a farm people that pollution the earth and the other one is a normal family.Each thing they recycle they get one dollar.

In my new until I learn that pollution is very bad for are earth.Most of the pollution come from China because China people are very pour so people give them money to build factory and work in it.Each minute we cut down 2000 tree<the size of 12 football fields> just to put are garbage and to build houses.

All are natural resources are use up like gas and oil, because we have to light up are house<not to set are house on fire>put gas in are car to run the engines.

Now in are New Year concert we are going to sing the Earth Song < by : Michael jackson >try  to make the parents help the world.And we go into groups and make a play or a song.

Ms.Robin came to are school to talk to us about internet and cyber bulling.She some us some video and give us some homework. Think that cyber footprint is very cool because they can keep track of you going online but some times it can be bad some times if you put some thing on online you might not can take it back.

Our grade agree with the sheet that she make us do it for homework, like I wil tell my parents that some one cyber bully me.

On November 7 I went to the family fun fair.< a family fun fair is were one day that the school will put some games for the  kids and people can buy stuff like books and cookies>I was a scout I have sell cookies , after I finish my duty I went to play the games.I play the sipper toss and the basket ball hop,I was s good at that sipper toss I got a lot of good toys like a toy car and a bag.

I ate lunch with my dad and mom I ate a hot dog and my dad ate a hand burger it was very taste after that I went to buy books.

In the mid-term break I went to Japan , I went with my mom and dad.My dad drove a car and we went to Osaka I went to a wine factory  with my  dad and his friends one of his friend are the boss of the wine factory so we can go and see the wine, there were lots of wine in the wine factory .I stay in hotel and Osaka It is call MR GRAND hotel.Near Osaka there is a place call Nara and we vist the temple that is were the king pray to the buddha.After that I went shopping with my mom in a huge shopping moll.this is not my first time to go there but is my first time to go to the castle right under this word.This is a castle that a very famous command how live in there.

Every week more then 42000 die and at least one billon people do not have water to drink. If we save water we can help the children.
