BRAINSTORMING GOALS

 

Now that you have reflected on your personal, social and academic growth using your portfolio as evidence, you need to brainstorm a list of possible goals, in order to further your development.  Goals can be:

• Academic (eg. inquiry, mathematics, literacy, subject specific)
• Personal (eg. organization, attitude, time management, Learner Profile attributes, work habits)
• Social (eg. working with others, making friends, communication skills)

 

Please note that goals need to be SMART:

• Specific
• Measurable
• Achievable
• Results-oriented
• Time-bound

Learning Reviews:

When you come to the Learning Review with your parents (Thursday 3 November or Friday 4 November), please bring your portfolio and this brainstorming list with you.  As your partners in learning, your parents and I will help you to make a final decision about the goals that should become your priority in the coming weeks and we can discuss strategies that will help you to best meet them.
