Human Sciences

Oxford Definition: “A branch of study which deals with people or their actions, including the social sciences and the humanities, as contrasted with the natural sciences of the physical sciences.”

The term human sciences covers a plethora of academic studies ranging from anthropology to economics and sociology to psychology. As a result, it is extremely difficult to create a single definition that adequately adheres to the vast topics specifically. As such, I would define the human sciences simply as the study of people and their interactions with the world and each other. It is a generalization but it sufficiently encapsulates all disciplines that fall under the realm of the human sciences.
