Being raised in Hong Kong, I believe I have adapted many language skills over the past. Going to an international school has also helped me learn English, and is now my main language. As shown in the two pieces of evidence above, I am able to communicate in both Chinese (mandarin in this case), and English, with them both being tasks for school. In evidence #1, this is a short story that I wrote for a Chinese competition a few months earlier. This piece demonstrates my capabilities in Chinese writing and understanding. The second piece of evidence is a poem written for this year’s English class, demonstrating my familiarity with the subject and it’s different forms of expression. Nowadays, the world is becoming more international, and many people may reside in different places of the world, so it is crucial that a variety of languages can be learned and understood.
