1. What is intuition?
Intuition is the ability to understand something instinctively, without the need for conscious reasoning. It can be described as a “gut feeling” as well.
  2. What is system 1 and system 2 thinking?
System 1 thinking is essentially effortless, quick, instinctive thinking, whereas system 2 thinking is effortful, slow, logical, processing of information.
  1. How could you incorporate system 2 thinking into TOK?
For certain activities that we have done in the past such as optical illusions or awareness, we can incorporate this system into making our brains fully process the situation around it. For example, instead of just looking at an optical illusion and saying the obvious answer (which is often wrong in optical illusions), we can take a step back and look at the other possibility, that there is a more correct answer, although it may not seem like it at first. This is the same as the awareness tests, where instead of focusing on what they want you to focus on, for example the ball passing, we can use system 2 thinking and recognize that the main focus is not what they want you to focus on. Thus, we are able to see more of the bigger picture, for example the moonwalking gorilla.
