Happy Chinese New Year!  This year it’s my year, the year of the dragon. So I wish everyone a prosperous new year, and I bid you all farewell.

Hi,
I am a teacher from Birmingham, Alabama in the US. We are looking at different student blogs from around the world and I just stumbled upon yours and thought I would leave you a comment.
So living in Hong Kong for the Chinese New Year must be a pretty neat experience. Here in the US we don’t really celebrate the Chinese New Year so I would love to hear what the celebration was like from your perspective. What are some things that are traditionally done as part of the Chinese New Year celebration?

Well, we eat dumplings, and give each other red packets with money inside of them.
