Book Club: The River

Our class has recently been engaged in book clubs, I was assigned “The River”, the exciting companion to “The Hatchet”, the book was very exciting to me and the main character was a very interesting person. He demonstrated quite a few learner profile attributes including knowledgeable, inquirer and caring. The main character is called Brian. Brian is knowledgeable because he calculates and takes action thinking about how a man named Derek Holtzer would survive without water for a few days. Brian is a inquirer because Brian didn’t just get his knowledge from a internet source or book, he risk-taked and found his own knowledge and developed further more on his knowledge. Brian is caring because he cared for Derek’s life and how Derek would survive the woods without water.
