On the first day we had a four hour long bus ride to get to the dynasty hotel. After that we had to go and make our Chinese paintings. My painting was really messy but it was. Then we had our dinner which I didn’t eat much because I hate vegetables and a majority of the food was vegetables. Then we went to the market to do some investigation for my unit of inquiry. At the end of the day we went to our hotel rooms and went to sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night because the beds were really hard and the blanket was really warm.
On the second day we had our breakfast and left to nine dragons resort. On the way we did an activity called the great race where we look for certain landmarks and take photos of them. While we are finding those landmarks we also have to look out for the camp councilors who will give us a question and if we get it right they will give bonus points. We also went to carve our own inkpots. I engraved both my English and Chinese name into it. When we checked in the resort was smaller than what I thought it would be. At the end of the day we went into groups and had to do things like the longest line, funniest silent movie, and the best theme song. My team was called the cookie dancers, and we managed to win first place. Then we went to sleep.
On the third day we went to have breakfast and then started our catapult building. Near the end of the activity we got to use the catapult to splat the teachers and camp councilors with water balloons. We then we to start our own fires which was really hard although the fire kept dying out. My group and I managed to keep it alive and cook banana boats. Banana boats are bananas cut in half with small pieces of chocolates inside. After that we went canyoning where we hiked up this hill on tight ropes and small wooden bridges. Finally we had our barbecues where I accidentally dropped me sausage into the fire. At the end we had to do the dragonfly challenge where we presented these plays our group has to create. I went to sleep knowing I would go back home tomorrow
On the last day we packed our bags and headed back home. The entire ride took 8 hours and it was really boring. Before we went into HK we had to cross the border where i got really stressed because i had to carry my huge bag nicknamed spine crusher. Then I finally went back home
