The Friday Update

This week was one of the best one yet

-If poetry winners and new contest

-Finished Our Christmas movie (A Christmas Carol)

-Finished Found poetry

-3 little pigs in French

-Began playing handball in P.E

-Field trip to eco-park

-Rehearsal for “Lets Make It Happen”

-Tracking the trash second summative assessment

-Started preparing class rep speeches

-Finished UOI

-Math:Mixed fractions, improper fractions, fractions and decimals remainders

After the Christmas holidays everyone lazily went back to school and did what they usually did, but surprisingly we got to do a lot of fun activities.In one of those activities we got to finish watching “A Christmas Carol”, the story was about a man named Ebenezer Scrooge that did not believe in Christmas, Scrooge is  a cold-hearted, tight fisted and greedy man, he often calls it a humbug which also means not believing, until 3 ghouls came to haunt him.

Another activity our class enjoyed was, we started our new unit (handball) in P.E it was a very fun game, In this game we were only allowed 3 steps and 3 seconds with the ball, or else we had to give the opposing team the ball, Mr. Steiner split us in to 4 teams, team purple, team blue, team yellow and team shirts.It was fun but if we had more time everyone would be happier.

An activity I didn’t really like was when we went to a field trip to the eco-park, I didn’t like it because our tour guide spoke too quietly,

so i didn’t learn that much that day, but the part I liked was when we got to visit a recycling area It showed us how to recycle the 7 different types of plastic,It was quite interesting.

Every week something new happens, and thats how I like it.
