Big Nate Goes For Broke Reading Reflection

The book I read this week is Big Nate Goes For Broke. It is the newest book in the Big Nate series written by Lincoln Pierce. I really like this book because it is funny and interesting. I think this is a really good book. This books is about how Nate’s school (P.S. 38) tries to beat their arch-rivals (Jefferson)in all sorts of activities. They have always failed. They also have to move to Jefferson for a while because of a problem at their school. Nolan, a bully at Jefferson teases one of Nate’s friends Chad because he hurt his tailbone and it has been broken so he has to carry something looking like a toilet seat. Then it turns in to chaos and in the end Nate breaks his wrist ( just like me a few months ago).  Weeks go by at Jefferson as Nate and his buddies try to think of a plan to beat Jefferson at something after losing a basketball match heavily. Nate and his buddies think that creativity is Jefferson’s weakness so P.S. 38 challenge Jefferson to a snow sculpting contest. They are correct because Jefferson can’t think of anything to come up with so they sneak out to their storage room and drag out a cavalier. They had pretended that they a cavalier. Mr. Rosa and Ms. Everette the art teachers and judges are not fooled. Nate and his pals created Achilles getting shot. The teachers easily voted that P.S. 38 were more creative so they won.
