Yesterday my class went to watch a movie created by the grades 7-9, in the LLAC:Leo Lee Art Center called “The Silver Screen”, it was pretty good and nice created. I really enjoyed the movie,I wonder who was the one who created it…….. whoever did must had great, interesting creativity. Well,I could tell you the start of the movie….. It was about 2 boys and 1 girl that came into this old theater, then they went into a movie and confusing ,adventurous, cool stuff started happening………….. It was sort of cool when I entered the theater, there was smoking all over.Every year there is one movie starting grade 3 I think……ya,and so far I think this one is the best one!! Maybe I would like to watch it some day again……… But I still don’t get the title,of why it’s called silver screen.
I’ve read the book “The lighting thief” this week,by Rick Riordan. It’s about Percy Jackson studying at Yancy Academy School at New York, after getting expelled from another school for another BATTLE with imaginary monsters only he can see, twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is taken to Camp Half-Blood, where he finally learns the truth about his unique abilities: He’s a demigod, half human, half immortal. Even more stunning, his father is the Greek god Poseidon, ruler of the sea, making Percy one of the most powerful demigods alive. There’s little time to process this news. All too soon, a prophecy from the Oracle sends Percy on his first quest, a mission to the Underworld to prevent a war among the gods of Olympus.
I think this book was pretty amazing and adventurous, and as I read it,pictures of each scene float around my mind, which makes me really curios of watching the movie! Some parts may be a little boring for me but in total I think its a pretty good book that anyone would enjoy, like almost everyone. I can tell that the author is really good at writing adventurous, cool, interesting, freaky, mysterious books. I recommend this for ages 9- 15 approximate…….. or if you are a higher level reader then you may read this at age 7-8.
Hey! Today was so awesome! My class got to learn hip hop dance today, actually we started a bit on Wednesday but we learn the whole dance today,it was sort of fun. Mr.Dave said we will be performing but I am not sure when. There was this kind of cool hip hop dance teacher and she was so much better than everyone else (well obviously)! The moves at first was kind of hard but actually it wasn’t that hard at the end,but there is still one step that I found a little difficulty on,which is the part when I was facing the back and had to (somehow)turn your legs and face the front. You might think the dance is just lame, but when you do it it’s sort of fun, like dancing with your classmates………. Yeah,it was like jump, turn, walk, move your shoulders………and stuff like that.,I practiced it 1-2 times by myself.I like it better when we dance with the music turned on,it more cool and fun. Maybe you could try learning hip hop dance? Still, after the 2 lesson I just know the basic dance not the cool awesome pro kind.
Here are some pictures of Hip-hop dance from Google Images……Hope you enjoy!!!
There’s a Boy in the Girl’s Bathroom is a interesting and a funny book,by Louis Sarchar. It mainly about a boy Bradley Chalkers which is the biggest and oldest kid in fifth grade, which is a serious big bully and he threatens people to give them a dollar or he would spit on them.Bradley has serious behavior problems, and he perform bad in his studies,he also constantly lies to his mom that he got an A+ when he actually F.So Bradley got held back one year, which made him the oldest kid in fifth grade. Then he meet the new school counselor Carly Davis, she believes and trust that Bradley can change the way he is.
This book is a really interesting and hilarious book. Some parts was a little bit boring though, but overall the whole story is interesting.I really think I wouldn’t like a big bully in my grade, because that will just mess things up.I wondered what I would do if I saw a boy in the girls bathroom, will I scream as the girls in the book or what……I recommend this book to ages 9-13. Check out the book!
Night at the Museum is Leslie Goldman, and you might know this movie because its really famous. Well, basically this book is about this guy “Larry”was in a hurry to get a job so somehow he just got into being a security guard at the New York’s Museum of Natural History. Once the sun fade, and turns to night everything in the museum comes to life, but there are really hilarious, freaky, crazy things happening. So far got to work there for 3 nights so far.Lary tries to tell his son Nick the astounding things he’d seen every night.Nick didn’t believe his father’s strange tales, until he spends a the 3rd night with his father. But something unexpected happened,a very important thing was lost……………Read or watch the movie to see what happens next.
I would be totally SUPER freaked out if dinosaurs, dead people, statues and lions coming to life.It would be too terrible for me to even continue one night.I think it’s actually really brave of larry to not quit his job.My favorite part of the book was when everything came to life on the first night, and the look funny and scared on Larry face.I didn’t have a least favorite part though. I would recommend this book to ages 7 ~ 14, but only for people who like freaky, adventurous, really interesting deep books. It would be best if you could watch the movie and read the book, but if you want to watch the movie make sure you won’t be too freaked out. For the first time I watched the movie was when I was 6 and read the book when I was 8, but i just read it again this week so I could share this with you!!!
Hey,check out this website "Tagxedo",it's quite cool. You type in any words you want then choose the shape that suits you words and its appears! It's great for you to describe yourself, marking down a list of words you need. Here is a picture of one of them I created, which describes me.
Cabin Fever is a book of the seriesDiary of a Wimpy kid as you might know, and I’ve been reading it this week,so now I will tell you one of the big/main events in this book. So, basically its about Greeg Heffley is in big trouble, because he damaged school property and so Greg is the prime suspect. But the bad this is that he’s innocent, well sort of………. Then some day it started to snow and the blizzard hits, the Greg and his family is trapped indoors. No lights,no food,no heater, none….until they found out something surprising…. well to figure it out,READ the BOOK!!!
My favorite part of the book was when Greg noticed that someone had been doing something to the electricity, and found out who did it.Also when Greg figured out that his mom had been tricking him into getting Kenny Catazoo signature. This is a hilarious book but so as the others of Diary of a Wimpy kid, for more information this book is created by Jeff Kinney. If you ask me which part I disliked,i don’t think I disliked any parts of the book.
This week I read a book called Chewing the Seatbelt by Andrew Daddo ,and I know the tittle is a little disgusting but its a great book. Each chapter of this book has a different story but kind of connects, each chapters tells you ~ What to do if your chewing gum is stuck to the seatbelt and you don’t want your dad to know? How to fake a funniest home video? The best way to run away from home (without really running away). Why taking unauthorized loans from your parents’ loose change isn’t really stealing? Well, it tells you that but even so I wouldn’t put chewing gum on my seatbelt, and why would I need to fake a funniest home video, why do I need to run away?I don’t steal my parent’s money. So even the information isn’t useful to me(but maybe you), its still funny to read.
I really like the way Andrew Daddo writes this book, especially how funny and hilarious this book is. The book uses dialog sometimes so it makes the book seem more real, the adjectives it uses makes me imagine a creative picture of how it looks like. But the character in this book “Fergus” is REALLY weird and ridiculous especially what he does, like sticking his chewing gum on the seatbelt. This book is recommended for people who likes to read hilarious books, especially really funny ones!
