Cross-Road Event

In the cross-road event, my class and 5A went to the 9F class to learn about problems around the world. The grade 9′s created a simulation which would match to a problem like poverty, child labor etc. My class and 5A was divided in to groups of 5, so there was about 7 groups. Each groups had a color we had to hold on to, my group and I were purple.

The Activity I Liked The Most

Each group could go to three activities, The activities were assigned by the color of your group. For my group, we first went to over-population, then we went to racism, finally we went to child labor.

My favorite activity was the over-population activity because not only we get to learn information about over-population, we got to have fun and have free candy! In my opinion, the way that they put a reward at the end made me more interested in the activity.

What Could They Improve On

I think the grade 9′s do not have to improve on anything, it was perfect!

What I Thought About The Activity

I think the activities were great! They really did a good job!

What Did I Learn

I learnt a lot of stuff from the activities, the most important one I learnt was that the population of the homeless will be doubled but the population for the normal will decrease. I find that fact fake and weird because I thought a lot of people had jobs and a good life, but I was wrong.

I loved the G-9 project crossroad! I wish I could’ve tried out all the activities but there was no time. I hope I get to the project when I reach grade 9 so I could show my knowledge to younger people!
