(This is more likely to be an internal factor than external factor, but I can’t find any external factors for technology)

A few months ago, McDonalds decides to open the shops 24 hours and offer delivery services. In a customer’s perspective, it greatly benefit me and especially the people that works at night. The delivery services makes it more convenient for the customers.  This provides more opportunity for McDonald to maximize it’s profit.

McDonald-Health

by 001809 on April 11, 2011

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/42306211/ns/health-diet_and_nutrition/

This is an indirect article that relates to McDonalds. It is an article that listed different ways to eat healthier. From this article, it shows how the society is moving toward healthy eating, so their interest to eat unhealthy food decreases. In the long term, more and more people will move away from McDonald’s food. In order to keep the customers, McDonald has begun to include healthy eating in their menu, such as salad and adding more vegetables in the hamburger.

Even if it help increase the nutrition value of the food, it is still a challenge for McDonald because it has build an image of unhealthy eating. It will take McDonald years to wash away this image. They could do this by using advertisement, such as adding more green colors in their ad, so the audiences can associate their food with healthy eating.
