Cross Country

XC at CDNIS is one of the strongest programmes at CDNIS with a history of championships.  With over 140 athletes and 7 coaches our programme is one of the strongest in the Int’l School community in Hong Kong.  XC is a Season 1 sport which runs from August to November.  The team meets 3 times per week and generally practices in Aberdeen Country Park or Happy Valley Race Course.
The CDNIS T-wolves Cross Country team is back in action as soon as school commences. Practices begin the week of August  23rd of August and continuing until the end of October, 3 days a week, at the Aberdeen Country Park. The entire team gives their all right from the start.
Practice Information
For U14, U16 and U20 athletes, our coaches will hold practices 3 times each week.  The team will head to Aberdeen Country Park on Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s by bus.  It is important that all athletes bring water to each training session. A bus will bring athletes back to CDNIS at 4:45pm after each practice in Aberdeen Country Park.
For the U12 team, runners will head to Aberdeen Country Park every Tuesday and Thursday ONLY from 2:50 to 4:40pm.  They will return to school for the 5:15pm bus.  Athletes will finish in time for the 4:20 bus on Thursday’s only.
Bus Information
Please note that all athletes will have to either catch the 5:20 bus or be picked up from CDNIS.  The 5:20 bus service is not full service.  For exact drop off points please contact Robert Mu of Castle Brothers.
Competitions and Busing
Throughout the season we have a number of Cross Country Competitions.  They will all be held at various locations around Hong Kong.  Please see the below listing of meets.
For bus service, a bus will depart CDNIS and bring all athletes and coaches to the event.  Following the event students will be dropped off at Paterson St in Causeway Bay ONLY.  Students will have to be collected from Paterson St.
