Parent Information

As a parent of an Athlete in the T-Wolves Sports Programme there is a lot of information you need to know ranging from schedules to competitions to travel and much much more. This page will help you to understand more about our programme.

For more information please check out our Student Athlete Handbook found on the right hand side bar. It is also given to all students in the beginning of each year.

Bus Information

If your child competes/practices at CDNIS, there is a full bus service at 4:20pm. At 5:20pm, buses are only limited to major locations in Hong Kong.

If your child is at an outside venue or leaves school after 5:20, then the bus will drop them off in Causeway Bay at the Golden Dragon or on Paterson Street only. For more information on transportation, please view the transportation page.

Age Divisions

At CDNIS we run 4 different age divisions. They are as follows; U12, U14, U16 and U20. The age division your child is placed in will depend on your child’s age as of September 1st. So for example if your child is 13 yrs old on Sept 1st, he/she will compete in the U14 age division. If your child is 14 yrs old on September 1st, then he/she will compete in the U16 age division.

Venues and Maps
Our school’s sports teams generally compete in the International School Sports Federation in Hong Kong (ISSFHK), the Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation (HKSSF), and the South East Asian Student Activities Conference (SEASAC).

Along with competition dates on our athletic calendar, the information could also be found on the official ISSFHK website under their ‘info’ tab. The maps of other competing schools are there, so parents are aware of where their children will be competing at. Furthermore, the website includes rules and regulations that athletes must follow.

Some of our teams also join the Hong Kong Schools Sports Federation which is a league competing with local schools in Hong Kong. More information on the league could be found in the HKSSF website.

The South East Asian Student Activities Conference is also another competition we compete in, however it only lasts for several days. This is a competitive tournament involving schools in Southeast Asia, and usually one of the highlights of the season. The venues are different every year as the location alternates amongst the schools, so information will be given to the participating athletes.

Tryouts

Your children need to attend tryouts that occur in the first week of each season in order to have the chance to make it into T-Wolves sport teams. Student athletes need to come prepared to play and try their best.

Practices

Once the team is selected, your child needs to attend all practices. These are competitive teams which compete against other international schools. If your child cannot attend regular practices then they should not try out for a school team. If your child will miss a meeting, he/she must notify the coaches and explain the reason for his/her absence.

For dates of the tryouts, practices and competitions please view the athletic calendar.
