About Us

The CDNIS Junior Choir is made up of many talented and enthusiastic students!  Currently, we have over 50 members from Grade 4 to Grade 6, and many committed teachers as well.  The Choir is directed by Ms Melissa Kinsinger, and assisted by Ms Deb Jabalee, and Mrs Jenny Mak.

The Junior Choir has a rich history of performing at various venues both within school and the wider HK community. We have performed at CDNIS Remembrance Day and Chinese New Year assemblies, as well as Performing Arts concerts in December and June.  We have participated in the Lower School’s Festival of the Arts, where we sing with choirs from other schools, as well as perform in the Evening of the Arts.

We are honoured to have been invited to perform at the Hong Kong Veterans Commemorative Association (HKVCA) Remembrance Service at the Sai Wan War Cemetery in December. This is a special time for us, and we look forward to it each year.

We hope you’ll enjoy hearing and seeing us this year!

Thanks very much Ms Fenton!
It’s great to have the homeroom teachers visit other sites – and be “in the know” about what’s happening :)
Thanks for your encouragement with the blog. It’s definitely been an experiment in communicating more than just info. So far, so good!

Ms Kinsinger and Ms Jabalee,
Thank you so much for this informative blog. I love to know what our students are up to in the school and this provides such thorough information. I especially like the inclusion of the sheet music and the recordings. You have given me some great ideas to include in my own class blog. Thank you & happy singing!!
ps – Loved the Remembrance Day performance. Best of luck on the 11th!
Ms Fenton
