This week, the Grade 8′s completed the REPRODUCTION UNIT with a test and we are now moving into our final unit on MOTION.

Geometry Test

Geometry Test on chapters 7 and 9, next Thursday and Friday, May 2 and 3.

The students have been studying sexual reproduction in plants and humans, learning the anatomy and function of the anatomy. As well, the students have been studying the change toward sexual maturity through puberty and the menstrual cycle in females. The next test on will be on this subject in two weeks.

Pythagorean Theorem

Students have been solving problems while exploring the theory of Pythagoras from Chapter 9 of the test. The next unit test is coming up in Geometry.

The students have begun to investigate angles, triangles and other polygons, examining the patterns that govern two-dimensional geometry.
