Challenge # 2

Happy Chinese New Year! Gong Xi Fa Cai! 新年快乐!

This week’s challenge is about something I love (and I hope you do too): maps and geography.

Tell us about how you spent your break! This week’s challenge is to write a brief post about how you spent your time over Chinese New Year. Try to include a couple links to show your readers a bigger picture of your experiences. To fully complete this challenge you must include at least one image of a map which shows where you were (even if you didn’t go on a trip). You can use Google Earth or Google Maps or any other mapping tools that you know and like to use.

Also, check out this fun Geography skills practice game, called Traveler’s IQ Challenge. This is a fun way to learn capital cities and countries of the world. It is also fun to learn about and know where famous world landmarks are located. Challenge yourself!

Traveler IQ

The Traveler IQ challenge ranks geographic knowledge of cities such as: Kissimmee, Mobile or Amsterdam by comparing results against 6,578,348 other travelers. Brought to you by TravelPod, a member of the TripAdvisor Media Network

Important programmer note: If you embed this widget into your site in a post or on the side bar it will automatically insert it with a width of 625 (which is way to big for most blogs). Solution: you get to become a programmer! Look carefully at the embed code. There are 3 places where the width can be found in text. You must find ALL 3 widths of 625 and change them to 500. Then the game player will fit more nicely and not under-lap your other blog features.
